What a fun hop this is going to be CallyAnn! I love to see other people's craft rooms - I need all the help I can get! I wish I could give an organizational idea, but I really don't have any! That is why I have to check out everybody else :) I am sure glad you didn't ask me to show my craft room - it is positively scary right now!

Katie

You have made good use of a limited space.

love your space! I really love the words on your wall--so inspiring.. thanks for sharing.

my org. tip is to sort scraps in colors and place nearby your desk to use them up first.

Ro Donner

Great way to multi-purpose your space! You have lots of space to work with, it looks like. Thanks for sharing your space with us. My favorite organizational tip is to put things away in labeled containers/cupboards as soon as I bring them home from the store or as soon as I'm done using them. That way they don't get lost in a shuffle of scraps and piles.

Vicki

I too am working in a shared space..my bedroom but I am still able to get things done. Maybe one day I will be able to leave my Cricut setting out and then I will do more. Looks like you have utilized your space very well..thanks for sharing

Hi, it's really fun to be part of such an inspiring hop with you! Your craft space is nicely organized considering you claim to be working under restrictions. Just think, folding laundry while the glitter dries would work for me!! My best tip is hang up and use those clear page protectors from Office Depot or wherever, so you can see all the embellishment STUFF you have!

Love the slatted wall idea. What a great idea to get in lots of stuff by making use of as much wall as possible and still be able to adjust everything as needed. New follower. www.thefruitofmyhands.blogspot.com

I think you did a great job with the space you have to create in. Not everybody has a room to craft in... yours is awesome

Tambo

CallyAnn, I love how you use the wallboard for hanging things. I've seen this before, but in a garage. It makes it nice so you can make it fit your needs. Your room is very nice. tfs Tami

*****A Creative Journey with Melissa*****

LOVE your craft space! You gave me a great idea to put my die cut machines up off of the counter so that I have more work space! I may just have to figure that out!!! My tip is to be sure you have all of the items you use consistently in close proximity so that you aren't taking more time to walk around than craft :) I am a follower and would be honored if you would check out my blog and do the same at ACreativeJourneywithMelissa. blogspot dot com. Have a wonderful day!

MissVassy

I really like the wire baskets. It sure clears up space from sitting on a desk ot table especially if you have to use the area for shared usages.

I do not have a craft room so I can't keep my stuff all neat like you. I do keep my ribons in clear plastic show boxes so I can see them. They are organized by color and I also have special Christmas and Fall ribon boxes. Thnking of doing the same for my flowers because they are all hanging on my Clip it up now and I need to make space for other embellishments.

Pammejo

What a wonderful creative space, so many nooks and creative places and storage. Thanks for sharing. pammejo1@yahoo.com

You have a cute space and yet room to craft and that is so great! :) better than not having a space at all...TFS hugs Kari

you have used your space great even if you do have to share it with your laundry!

Great space! I love the wall shelves to keep everything up and off your work areas. I have shelves but don't utilize them the way I should!

LOVE your slat walls!!! I love how you can see your stuff!!! Thanks for the tour!

kim.scrapper

"Take time for the little things", so true. Great space, sometimes we crafters use any space we can get and if its the laundry room, so be it, tfs...Kim (kim.scrapper@yahoo.ca)
Tip: use tp rolls to make things stand upright in a container

That slat wall is awesome and so versatile! Great place to create!

Rose

You can't even tell it's a laundry room from your pics! It looks great. Another organizing tip, it's hard but I feel strongly about always cleaning up your desk after crafting. If I see my desk messy then I feel messy and lazy to craft since I'd have to clean first. A great way to keep those projects in progress is to have a space dedicated to in process work, like a shelf or folder.

Charlotte

What a fun place to create!!!
Charlotte

Rhonda Emery

looks like you know how to work your space great place. love it. hugs

lorby

Your craft room looks like my craft room only difference it that I have enough space - I just buy too much stuff. I love the walls in your area. TFS Jearise in Lorby's World.

Ellen Jarvis

I too have slatted walls in my craft room, though I only put up sections of it rather than full walls. Then (and this is one of my favorite tips), I found an LSS going out of business and they were GIVING AWAY their 12x12" plexiglas holders with slat-wall hooks on them so I snatched up 30 of them to color sort my paper. On the other slatted wall, I color sort my fabrics.

Thank you for the opportunity to win a GC from my favorite scrapping store, Michael's!

So true that we do what we can!!! I too make use of a small space but it doesn't stop us from buying does it? My craftroom is in my bedroom... I even used my walkin closet, hehe... now the problem is I find it hard to go straigt to bed, I always have to do something even if it is small... what about you? Do you ever get any laundy done??? lol

Thanks for sharing! You seem to have maximized every inch!

I store my buttons in containers I found at Harbor Freight. They have individual boxes that you can take out when you need too.

Brendanc

You are using your space really well in your crafting area.

The best tip that works for me is to organize by color, then everything is together when I get ready to start on a project.

Great use of space . I see you have lots of different storage containers. I was the same until I bought an old bedroom dresser. I repainted it and store all my adhesives, ribbons, chipboard, fabric pieces etc. And I use the top as another work surface. It has been great and I was able to get rid of all the plastic totes and save more space in my room.
Thanks for sharing your space.

Great use of the space! Love the wall storage! I need more shelves myself! My best tip would probably be that I love to use the photo boxes to sort out groups of items like shape sticker, alphabet stickers, chipboard albums ect.
